Just came across the News,
He has passed away at 68 Years old.

Tis a shock, seems only yesterday he was tangling in on his delivery. We`ve lost a top Aussie, time to reread "How to Hypnotise Chooks".

Very very sad , too young and truly one of the greats ! I once had the honour of facing up to Max on the MCG ( Moomba cricket ground ) central Australia when he came up to give a Santos sponsored safety talk on heat stroke ! Twenty of us running around like idiots playing desert cricket for six hours in 44 degrees in thongs , then sit down and neck a couple of dozen cans with Max telling stories. Will never forget it.

Great bloke. Apart from his cricket, he also played 85 games with the Melbourne Demons VFL team between 1967-72. RIP.
