This is a shocking way to control.

Shame on the companies who do this! :N: :N: :N: :N: :N:
Yes it is shocking, you'll get no arguement from me, but there is no real effective alternative at this present time.
We tried handing out condoms, we tried teaching abstinence but all to no avail.

Anyone have any better ideas please...we're all ears.

Sorry Duke, that missinfomation is straight from the PETA website.
Sodium fluoroacetate actually occurs naturally in many WA plants, hence why many natives here actually tollerate it to a certain degree.

As for Dingos taking baits not just wild dogs, yes the do but nowhere near to the degree of wild dogs. Dingos will often sniff and leave a bait where as a wild dog will take one every time.

Did NOT post this message for it to turn into a raging hate session, visitors with dogs/cats please take extreme care. As has been already posted most Pastoral Leases do not allow dogs and firearms. However there are 1000's of visitors (not all prospectors) to our state in the cooler months who only ever camp down in caravan parks and the like, who bring their furry family members with them.
We had the most faithful Golden Labrador who could smell a mouses fart at a hundred paces. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but if we had taught him how to sniff out "gold" he would have been Bruce Candy's right hand man. (And our road to riches) We cared and loved him for 14 years keeping him away from danger until dreaded cancer struck him down.

Tysey camped down for another goldfields cold night.
