Yes. Dig all targets, never trust a signal or discrimination.

A lot of factors come into play......size of target, depth, lay in the ground, cover etc, but yes, generally true solid lead will be very close in signal to gold.

Not sure all non ferrous is the same as aluminium will squeal a higher tone usually.

Good advice from other members regarding 'dig everything' when it comes to gold prospecting.

Don't assume whats under the coil till you have dug it and save discrimination for coin/relic hunting.

Yeah you really have to experience aluminium foil on the White's GMT. That thing is a foil magnet. I'm not knocking the machine because I think it's fantastic value for money but if there's aluminium foil about it all seems to end up under the GMT coil and it screams like a stuck pig when with lead or gold it just quacks like a duck

I'm a recording engineer and I can't reliably tell the difference between different metals just by listening to them. Iron is the easiest to pick but still not reliably, so dig everything. Not all gold nuggets sound the same either.

I'd challenge anyone who has dug the "Common" round headed Tacks, standing on end in a crevice to distinguish them from a small sub gram nugget. Done it "Once" myself only to have a mate detect behind me and dig up....you guessed it... a .3 gram nugget. :8 Never done it since and never will again. If it "Beeps"...dig it.

Mate, the only thing I will find is the Ring Pulls or the stubby tops, In 1500 years I should have enough for the retirement fund, But don't tell anyone what I'm up to, Ok

Haha with all the lead I find I will be able to make sinkers and will be able to supply bcf
