Hi all,

Just wanted to see everyones input, what do you carry with you when you go detecting? Just on day trips?

Thank you :)

Hi Benny,

Just for day trips I take:

Water bottle
Lunch
Backpack
Detector
Clothes
Raincoat
Boots
Pick
Crevicing tols if going to a creek
Panning dish ditto
Pouch
Nugget jar
Scoop
Pinponter (but less since I got the SDC)
Spare batteries
Torch

In addition to mfdes I always leave clear instructions as to where I will be ..Plan your day and stick to the areas you plan to work.. {just in case someone has to come looking.}

I've recently also been taking a SPOT. I feel safer carrying it. If I fell into a shaft where a PLB can't see the satellites, or I was unconscious and couldn't press the button, my partner can still see my last known position.
