Insurance for fossickers

Hi Guys, Just moved to QLD looking at getting out and about hunting some gemstones, looking for leases etc
My questions who have people got their insurance through? What do I need to cover myself against? is it just Public Liability to access the land and then if i want to cover tools etc
Help needed

Good Luck finding someone to cover you.... In NSW, if you have land-owners permission, He is covered under the Fossicking act from Litigation...

No such luck in QLD...

Cheers Lone Wolf, correct me if I'm am wrong but in QLD you need insurance before you start prospecting etc? Just dont want to get caught out and fined

No... You need a fossickers Licence/permit... That covers you for Prospecting.... If you were going big then I would say you need some sort of policy to satisfy the Departments that you will have to deal with ... Although I live on the Gold Coast, most of my fossicking is in NSW.... Better options and No licence unless you go into a State Forest...
