Illawarra NSW Weather advice and information

Well, we were up at 12.30 this morning and the water was ankle deep in the garage. The house is on the high side so no problems there. There are 4 units along our southern border and they were all flooded. Big big mess. They are all pulling up carpet etc. The water line at the end of our property has a water mark waist high. We have a natural waterway dividing both our two blocks and this was at top capacity early this morning. Pretty scary. It's wrecked all the retic hoses and lost some of the bush rock that was cemented on the sides. One of our side fences is caput so will need replacing...Our granddaughter had to be dropped off here today as her day care (just around the corner) was completely swamped. Gotta feel so sorry for the many other residents that I know have fared so much worse....Apparently we have more to come.

Just spent all day, emptying garage, cleaning it up and putting it back, big day, lucky thou not as bad of as some people,
as always found things we hadn't seen for a while, I worked in Moranbah when the floods were on, sad because some people
trying to get through from the west tried to take the water on and didn't make it
