I Have Been Wanting To Say This For A While

I have been very impressed and enriched by the fantastic and interesting finds that have come to light here over the last few months,no more than in the last few hours.

Earlier today Golddiggerart's brilliant 15g silver ring,what a real treat arty:

Danny's 24ct cross and chain earlier tonight

and of course I cannot forget all of the kilos of gold that has been mercilessly hunted down

This forum not only motivates people to go detecting out in the sunshine but also gives them a platform to share with others the great stuff that they find usually through hard graph.

It would be a miss of me if I didn't mention all of the posters who have gone before us,thankyou :Y:

Have to agree Scrounger,I look forward everyday to seeing what everybody has found in their adventures.The amazing finds always inspire me to get out there and have a go.

I love the thought how people long ago who never thought of us carried around their lives "in their pockets" dropping parts of it as they go never knowing that we in the future would mine it unearthing their belongs which is our history.

This stuff was literally died and buried and we have the privilege to unearth it bringing it back to life sharing it here for all who care to see.

Agree with everything said, also to me
it is an education on the history that
is been discovered by all the Detectorists
on this forum. The hunt is an adventure as
is the research in finding out about the
history of what is dug up. Fantastic hobby.

Scrounger, I consider this forum as a Life Blood for our hobby and the undeniable mateship each and everyone of us experience, possibly some more than others.
We care for each other in hard and dire times and we celebrate the great conquests of the pioneers that have that drive and passion for the "Yella". We watch their stories, look intently at their photos, pray for their safety and look forward to meeting them one day.
I cannot imagine a day without seeing what my "mates" have found and their planned trips in the future.
Thanks Nugget , the new owner HarriL and to the mods that keep this place safe for everyone.
