In 1801, Joseph Marie Jacquard made an improvement to the textile loom by introducing a series of punched paper cards as a template which allowed his loom to weave intricate patterns automatically. The resulting Jacquard loom was an important step in the development of computers because the use of punched cards to define woven patterns can be viewed as an early, albeit limited, form of programmability.
 
Lyudmila Mykhailivna Pavlichenko

July 12, 1916 October 10, 1974) was a Soviet sniper during World War II. Credited with 309 kills, she is regarded as the most successful female sniper in history.

Historian Norman Cantor has made the statement that he was "the most effective king in Anglo-Saxon history", despite his not being Anglo-Saxon.

Sorry guys , had an eventful day yesterday, went to Tuena , but on way back, valve of front tyre decided it didn't want to be there anymore & flew out. Thank god it happend in Trunkey, but had to change both tyres as were different sizes & got home at midnight :(
