Make this simple incorrect equation mathematically correct by drawing one straight line either vertical horizontal or slanted but not effecting the equal sign .

6 + 8 + 2 + 5 = 655

The answer is to draw a slanted line ( / ) in the top left hand corner of the first + sign turning it to a 4 !
The equation now is correct 648 + 2 + 5 = 655

Bit hard to find hey '

Thanks :D

This one is easier ---

A wealthy Eskamo owned seventeen dogs. When he died he bequeathed the dogs to his three sons.

His wish stated that the eldest son was to be given one half of the dogs , the middle son was to be given one third of the dogs, and the youngest son was to be given one ninth of the dogs .

The sons were distraught. It was clear to all that the dogs could not divided in this way without making a mess, so they decided to call upon a wise, old friend.

The wise man brought with him another dog , which he added to the others , making a new sum of eighteen dogs .

In accordance with the wishes , he then gave the eldest son half of them (9 dogs), the middle son a third (6 dogs) and the youngest son one ninth (2 dogs). This made a sum total of seventeen dogs , which meant that one dog was left over for the wise man to take back home.

Question is how is this possible ?

Please NO Google on this one.

This is an unusual paragraph. I'm curious how quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it. It looks so plain you would think nothing was wrong with it. In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is unusual though. Study it, and think about it, but you still may not find anything odd. But if you work at it a bit, you might find out.

I'm no good at this stuff..

It is missing the letters "d e j v x z" that is not really that weird, except for maybe the e as it is a vowel and they are used a lot!!

Umm.. "Study it, and think about it" should the comma be after it? I'm horrible with english so I'm not sure about that one.

I'll have to look more if it is really obvious!

Well, you are better than "no good at this stuff..". The 'E' is the most common vowel in the English language, so a whole paragraph without 'e's is certainly unusual. My guess is that you are right.

Oh I'm right? I thought it might of been like 1 letter was missing so I checked and turns out there was a few so I thought I'd post it so it makes me feel like I didn't waste my time...

Umm.. let me think!
