Hill End ruled out for Nuclear Waste Dump

Ive just read that due to strong local opposition Hill End has been ruled out for the site for Australia's nuclear waste thankfully.

I think that the waste should be stored at a place like Pine Gap,

i dont have a problem with storage facility in Australia but why on earth would you even entertain the thought of using productive farmland, S A is the go, woomera or some where the land is useless or better yet that rip off Aires rock Uluru in the NT,use the rock as a cap and bury it underneath

There is no way that the waste dump will end
up any where besides Muckety station in the NT. The
land owners want it and as the NT can't prevent
the fed gov doing anything it is the easiest
option legally as well.
