Hi all, purchased a Vanquish 540 on the weekend for my Son and I to use (trying to get him out in the outdoors off iPad) Very easy to use for a beginner. Found a 1834 shilling and a 1962 penny on our first outing today. Safe to say we are officially hooked.

Cheers

Wally, I'm assuming that's a before and after photo of the same stone?
That's bloody beautiful mate, is it a garnet or ruby, or something else?

It is actually an absolutely-bloody-inspiring Tasmanian zircon.......well I think that is the official name of this natural treasure :D they also have some great coloured sapphire in the north eastern corner as well.

The rough stone was gifted to me in exchange for a favour but returned to owner once cut as it looked so awesome.
