We started detecting a year ago after taking a 1-day lesson in the Whipstick. Great experience, bought the SDC2300 (might upgrade soon) and we are totally hooked since. Have learned a lot and still learning. Recently starting crevicing and panning as well. Good results so far.

Hi Detexpert, and welcome. Great to here your totally hook I know how you feel .Dont give up on the 2300 you've got one of the greatest detectors on the market , learn how to and where to use it and it will produce the gold for you . Buy all means down the track get yourself a 4500 , 5000 or even a 7000 to complement the sdc but don't sell it if you don't have to , it's a great machine .

Ill keep the 2300 for sure but thinking of buying a (2nd hand) 7000 at some point.
