Beginner from Wollongong

Hi all

I've been watching some videos on Gold panning and just bought a basic kit to get started.

I reside in Wollongong and my research is pointing me to give it a go at oallen forde and I'm hoping to make it a day trip sometime soon.

I was wondering how the fishing is there also as I might take my rod and make it a two hobby trip?

I'm also curious how much luck I can expect as a total noob? I've read some guides on likely spots to search for gold but have no real world experience with it. I am hoping I just find atleast something.

If you see a guy at oallen forde panning for gold who looks very clueless in a red honda that's probably me. Come say hi.

I'm in the Gong and thinking the same as you about Oallen.
