Tomorrow is my one year anniversary as a member here, but I still haven't published a single post. So i reckon it's about time.
I am a 31 year young Swedish guy who's been in this beautiful country for almost a year and a half now. After moving down to Sale, VIC, a year ago, I caught gold fever and have yet to recover. I spend almost every single day off in a creek somewhere with my bucket sieve (The best invention ever), Angus McKirk sluice and a good little wife to feed it while I'm digging away.
I'm mostly around east gippsland, and haven't been further west than Eldorado. I would love to go to the golden triangle, but work stops me from going to far, as I only get a day off in a row, and some weeks not even that. You work so hard making sure you can afford prospecting equipment that you end up having no time to prospect. I'd really like to get a detector to play around with, but I'm still not sure if the misses would approve of me spending more money on a detector than on the car. So I've been looking at some highbankers for now. I am keeping an close eye on the for sale section here.
I love this forum and all of it's members, it helped me enormously when I first started and it still does. So, thanks to everyone here, and see you in the creeks!
