Welcoming in 2019 with an 8.5 gram Silver Ring......I am not going to go over 2018 as I am glad it's gone and I can start a fresh new year with no hangups.
It was an interesting first dig of the year, similar to how 2018 started but with a little more searching/hunting of the elusive gold coin.
The first 2 hours saw me pull out a Ring which was the first target, $1.20 a pair of sunnies and some keys.
I hit one spot that always produces and hit on small change then a $6 coin spill, woop petrol money yeehaaa then hit another spot for a few more goldies.
All up I would say I swung for 3 and a half hours but with the sun rising up and me getting hot and sweaty I decided to pull the plug and head home
The end of 2018 dig 2 pairs of sunnies, $14 in change but I stopped on the beaches fish shop and bought 2 kilos of mussels woop...Just enough at $7 a kilo.
Looking forward to getting out more and having fun. All the best and Happy New Year to everyone. :Y:
Yeah mate for all of us.....We all go through stuff yet we are here today to keep living and doing the best to enjoy the life we have with the ones
we love. :Y:
Well I haven't been out very much over January, home life gets in the way or it's too hot and I am relaxing with the aircon on....
We've had a good few digs Kiara and I and found some more treasures....Last night Midnight was the first Gold for 2019...... A beautiful ring which was blackened so it had been in the water for a little while, just loving the X-terra 505 which is very capable in water if tuned right.
Anyway the finds....
Dig 1
Two junkers 1 Silver
Fake Gold Doubloon
Dig 2
16.4 Gram Silver Ring....
For size reference
All cleaned up
Last nights Midnight Dig less all the coinage which I will post up next time...
Gold and Silver Ring a ding dings in Knee high water at low tide, 20 meters from the shoreline.
Until next time, all the best and happy days.
Cheers GDA :Y:
Yes quite happy with the finds of late and to be able to get out and about again.
The ring was the standard Soak in White Vinegar with a little bit of baking soda....After about 30 minutes for this one I then washed it under cold water and rubbed it with baking soda then wiped dry to see if it was good to go....I gave it an extra 5 minute soak in white vinegar then washed under water then dried with some tissues.
