Welcome Gypsywomen,

Help us help you.....what type of gold mining are you interested in?

Hi, GW, I would reccomend a beginner to go to a recognised gold field to get a feel of gold fields as many are different , and if you are lucky enough to know someone who allready detects ,, i am sure they will gladly give you the run down on what to look for , i was unlucky and it took yrs by trial/ error but in the end , have been quite successfull am what you call a 500 ounce man (i wish i had found most of it at todays prices lol) Davext

Thanks Guys,
I know that gold is heavy and its around quartz lol and i have a mini lab.im All going well Ill be off to victoria for a short time anyone have ideas where to go plz

Have a look at where you would like to go to in and around the GT, then most prospecting shops have in those towns sell maps on goldfields from there it's down to you, don't forget your vic miners right also, good luck :)
