Has anyone been detecting in the Georgetown area ? If so, any luck ?
Would like to know as we're heading that way June '15
Are there any stations open to prospectors ?

Did a Georgetown trip late last year. Went to Western Creek Station and found a few speccies in the back corner near the airstrip. Unfortunatly, was only there for two days so didnt have enough time to get the feel for the place. The station owners were very nice and looking to head back there june/july to have a look at the new ground they are aparently opening up. Cheers

Has anybody been up to western creek station qld in the last month or so. We are going to that area next week to hopefully do a bit of prospecting and just wondered what the roads on the way in are like.
