Well that was a fizzer. A few flashes and a drizzle of rain. Although that swirling front in the bite is looking interesting and another front behind it.
Watching tv then BOOM thunder. Almost jumped out of my skin. Fair bit around now. Few heavy showers.
0.508mm in about 30 seconds, eerily still here. Could do with plenty more.
Just got very dark here. Had 3 mm in a short downpour. Still raining and more thunder.
Weather forcasters were right this time.

There was a clap of thunder just now that sounded like a rifle shot. Scared the hell out of the cat :cloudy:

Looks like you people in SA might be getting some rain at present?
You bet. Rained all night.
Just checked the rain guage here. 28 mm and still more rain coming. Haven't had rain this heavy for years.

Would be nice if we had some accurate rainfall for this district. Even the local weather station located at the school is 10 mm short. Our weather data comes from Minlaton 30 miles away which is 20 mm short of what we got.
33mm at my place since midnight, still a few hours of it to come if the BoM are correct.
Just started pouring here again.

Big wind and rain here :Y: good steady rain with the odd heavy rain showers.
Ended up taking out 34 mm here today since late last night. Fantastic bit of rain.
