Personally parents displaying their children's swearing and other unsociable behavior (obviously used regularly in that household) sets a poor example.
One time you would never hear women swearing in public, now it is the norm for them and now children.
As my dear old mum and dad used to say, "son you do NOT need to swear to get your message across."
Never in the 20 years I lived at home did I ever hear the F or C word uttered by my parents.

My parents used to swear a hell of a lot-in Polish or Ukrainian, Russian or Czech or some other slavic language during their "happy" marriage. We got the drift pretty quickly but weren't allowed to swear--within earshot of them.
My grandparents never swore till they turned 90 then they let them fly, funny as.
Have I missed something. Fill me in on the swearing thing ???
