I like to look in from time to time as a guest to see if there are any members logged in.

I am waiting for the day/night to see that there are none, so I can log in, screenshot it, and become one of the "ones"!

large numbers of lurkers seeing what the can bottom feed on is the way i see it :Y:
should be able to see nothing till becoming a "regularly" posting member
the reason why when you arrive at your favourite "secret" patch to find it already dug
"no more bottom feeders please"

Also a few of the guests are bots from places like google. No idea what they want though.

bots are from search engine finding info on pages , for searches being carried out by punters

Yes would also perhaps help prevent any and every scrote from freely copying and pasting one's posts across the net also But hey that's the world ............. there are the givers and takers

just remember to not include landmarks or identifying things in photo's , remove exif data off photo's (does the forum remove exif ??) i even park my vehicle out of sight where i can, so as no bottom feeders see where i am when on a sniff 8.( 8.(

Nothing is free in life, quality info comes at a price as someone has put the time and expense in to find out. A large part of today's society are free-loaders, they want everything for nothing and "wouldn't shout if a shark bit them" , everyday I get "do you charge for quotes?", my time, my cost so why not, some can take hours to compile!

I feel many of the quality areas on this forum should be for members only, hell...it costs nothing to join and then if you hit "remember me" when logging in, you don't have to look up your password when you come back.
