Marksman I'm wondering if your mates are my mates...or family

I bought a $500 odd dollar Gerni for a job along with a brushcutter that was somewhere around $380, figured both would pay for themselves pretty quick. I used them once when a guy my brother in law knew noticed them in the shed and asked him, not me to borrow both to clean his back deck and pavers etc and cut down some overgrown weeds etc. I didn't even know about it until I went looking for them.

It skipped my mind and they were eventually returned by proxy months and months later, the gun of the pressure cleaner was completely stuffed part of the main nozzle was missing, the unit itself obviously had been just kept out in the elements. I then noticed the unit had been opened and jerry-rigged, all I knew is that it was buggered......it went to the tip.

The brushcutter was missing the blade and cord attachment, and would not start. It went to the repair guy who came back with bad news, not worth fixing or replacing the parts......it went to the tip

Somehow a seriously kitted out Mitsubishi Triton I owned for work ended up in the hands of the same guy without me knowing via my rotten sister and brother in law, was stripped clean and I eventually got a legal letter of demand to have the vehicle removed from the property or seized! No explanation of the state of the vehicle was offered....it went to the wreckers. Oh yeah, I forgot a brand new Rinnai gas heater $1850 was in the back of the cab, in the box......somehow it went missing too.

I'm still missing an Isuzu NPR 400 crew cab, a Ditch Witch XT850 and somewhere around $25,000 in tools.......but that's another story :|

feel for you mate some people just dont give a rats because its not theirs
i sold a car a few years ago to a mate he never paid for it or changed the rego over
so i had to repo it and sell it again (took me a month to find it)

yes I see so far ive been hiring out for about 3 years now on and off haven't had any issues yet maybe because my mates respect my belongings mind you they have also hired/borrowed some things out to me when I needed it I've always retuned their stuff in the same if not better condition than what it was and refuelled anything motorized and never broke anything of theirs. I would let them know asap and pay for any damage done.

Hey mate, I'll swap you two browns and a tiger for a wombat? That's got to be trade of the year?
take the tiger but you can keep the browns

Hi AussieChris and 7.62 Marksman

Luckily I have never had such bad luck. I Feel for you both. I also nearly hit a wombat turning from Picton Rd into Manangle Rd on the way back home about a year ago and coming home from Wollongong the other day after a trial run with the 705 saw a Koala crossing the road in Appin. First for this year.

Some peeps could offer services for hire? Like, Trustworthy man with backhoe & washplant for hire! :p As seen on youtube :8

Its probably just the wording used to cover most options? Like one person? saying they need a new (lonely) thread to hire out there services or things.

As for me mates, its almost always beer that gets borrowed or loaned nowadays
But the odd detector loan may still happen once a blue. :Y:

All good thanks mate!
In Kalgoorlie tonight, flogged a ride in with a load of cattle. One crapped out the side of the truck as I was walking past and splattered me, too late to change so wearing my best cow ***** cologne now lol Damn I smell good!!
Went to the bar earlier, I've never seen so many people in the one place for years! There must be at least 12 of them lol... too crowded for my liking.

Should make Perth about mid afternoon, catching the red eye cause I'm a cheap bastard!

Cheers,

Steve
