I have only got interference from a 4500 and 5000 when they get to within about 15 metres of me. In fact I was quite amazed that they were so close to me.
I keep the phone in my camelbak and it is only about 1.5 metres away from the coil and get next to no interference from it.

One thing I do when I first arrive at my detecting spot is to turn on the detector before I get rigged up so that it warms up at least 10 minutes before I start.

Your 7000 might be different and be more sensitive to outside signals. Who knows.

Phones don't work where prospect, but the missus has her on sometimes and I reckon when it comes in and out of service it does pick it up watch a video made buy detector mods with a six, I'm yet to watch the whole video myself, I have set my plb with my seven so I can't see why it wouldn't pick it up the missus has put her phone on aeroplane mode for me and it seemed to work
