Well just got back from my maths exam and have failed miserably. Wasn't a case of not knowing the work but just ran out of time and was not even 1/2 way through :( Guess I need to work on my time management.....
Feel like I have just thrown 1/2 a year away.......very disappointed in myself.
Not sure what will happen but guessing I will have to do the course again 8.(
Feel like just packing the whole thing in at the moment

Keep at it mate, you have put all that time and effort in to quit now. Chin up it will just take a little longer that's all. ;) :)

Shivan don't dwell on it, nothing you do is a waste it's just another step or another lesson learnt. Understand what went wrong, reset your your goals and go for it. My sons had to pick themselves up many times and they are both successful young men now and wiser beyond their years. Cheers Peter.

Mate if you give up now it will be 1/2 a year thrown away.
I completed a postgraduate course last year after never having gone to Uni before so know how hard it can be at times. My advice - step back now & clear your head for awhile but stick it out.

ditto the above

Just think when you do it again you will be half a year ahead of everyone else and thats an advantage that could last for a couple of years to come if you keep on top of it

The positive mindset is a gearstick you engage every time you get a problem that needs a solution. and every problem has a solution . somewhere . somehow.

Human beans' might use less than 10 % of their brain , but through practicing developing the mind more "mind tools" become available . meditation and yoga can facilitate that in case you feel the inclination lol . its not everyones cup of tea though :)

good luck with it

Mate,

Go dig a big hole get some yellow or go for a long run clear your head and get back in the game.

It's something you want mate don't give up on it ;) Like Dozer said it might take a bit long but you'll get there

All the best

Sorry to hear about your mark Ian, This semester I have passed one and failed one so I need to submit "Request for special consideration" this will put my Grade to Pending status and I need to re-take the exam which has already been approved (free) by the Uni no need to take the course again. Feels like crup that was my last subject of 4 years hard yaka and I had to fail. :(

Thanks guys, just kicking myself.
By the sounds of things I was not the only one who thought the time was short for the work required, a lot of unhappy campers on the math forum ;) . Ahh well chemistry to look forward to next.

Good luck on chem mate, I had my last exam on Wednesday , thank god there over. Maths was a killer, I think I did alright in chem and geology though.

Just nail the chem Shivan. Do some practice maths exams to prepare and give yourself a time limit (repeat etc). Good luck.

I like Colin&Lee's idea, put the books down for a sec, get outdoors and give your brain time to cool. Then come back (hopefully a little richer) to work out your sticking point and nut out a way round it. It will all come good in the end mate just keep at it.
