Prospecting Australia

Help Support Prospecting Australia:

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.
From what i read ,the Chinese government apparently has an agreement with Australia and they subsidise the postage to encourage trade, whereas the agreement doesn`t go the other way.So we have to pay postage to send to China ,but not the other way around.A fair few things i see from the U.S seem to be priced well , but the freight is often more than the item you are looking at an the shipping can take many weeks.

The article linked from OP is written so poorly I assumed it would be a ******** fake story , but you guys have checked this on eBay for confirmation ?

Not happy jack .

Half my yearly revenue is from eBay sales and PayPal worked fine.

If your selling regular items you could just open your own website. Costs for ebay are at the point if you are a regular seller that finalising a sale on the platform becomes very costly very fast.

Using Ebay to sway traffic and sales to your own site is worth the odd fee for an ebay sale, and seems to keep them happy. I think of it as promotional cost.

HOW do you talk to Paypal on the phone ? seems these turds make that almost impossible .
These type of joints Should never be allowed to transact in Australia without providing a good phone service staffed with Real Aussies who we can understand !

I will not talk to anyone who can't speck Aussie ! :playful:

Have Fun

There really is room for an Aussie version of eBay , see how quick the c*** were to buy up Gumtree ?

We could call the new one No-fleas as a twist on FleaBay ?

Who owned gumtree before ?

I feel like having a long lunch ;)

Harri ?

Wanna come for lunch ?

Yep i had to get a private land line number to slow down the curry sounding scammers tying to rip me off every second day !
And they still manage to ring ? :argh:

If i could find out who they are I'll take em out .
These grubs need to be exterminated !

On another note ' best wishes to all the good blokes on here :Y:

We used to have a very good Aussie auction website back in the late '90's, SOLD.com.au -
https://web.archive.org/web/20010202031600/http://sold.com.au/

SOLD knew eBay were eventually coming, so back in 2000 they sold out to Yahoo, who were then operating a competing but less successful Aussie auction site. Sadly, the mongrels only bought SOLD to kill the competition, but Yahoo Auctions died shortly after once eBay came to Australia, so that was that.

On eBay I bought some small bottles, cost around $13 ...two weeks later the item cost $43.85 .....

Use to like buying off eBay but not anymore
