Pretty dry and getting worse.

They are really focussing on the drought in the west at the moment. Seems a few are upset we only hear of the drought in QLD and NSW when the rest of the country is suffering also. Suicide rates have jumped remarkably over here just as in the eastern states.

The hay run understandably gets a few noses out of joint. WA farmers donating hay for the east coast farmers yet when other WA farmers try to buy hay, these same farmers doing the donating are charging almost double, I suppose trying to recoup the costs of the donated hay.

The NSW and QLD state governments are talking relief packages etc but not a peep from WA government.

I had the 'West Australian' and some National Party MP out here a few days ago interviewing me for some article on the drought. I mainly focussed on the camel problem as that is one of the byproducts of the drought I deal with daily.
We toured a couple of wells when camels and horses came in, so some of the photos may not make the final article as they could be a bit confronting.
They also interviewed the manager from Mt Weld station and I think they interviewed Delita station as well before they got to me.

They won't do a damn cull before they get to the pastoral lands and they won't let us have the right tools to do a proper job. :N:
But they're feeling good inside because they gave $50000 to GNRBA.

If ammo was $1 a pop that's 50000 camels assuming you're such a talent with a rifle that every round is a 1 shot kill. That leaves about another 950000+ wandering about the place.

GNRBA gave me $500 to put towards ammo this year, thank god I reload my own because I've shot way more than 500 in the last 6 months. Meanwhile, they've done at least $50000 worth of damage in that same time. ]:D

Same all over the country madtuna, it would be about 60% of feral animals breading on crown land and no government is doing anything about it,does not matter even when there is a change in power, you get the same prick just a different face ,as the news story stated it won't change, as all over the country there is no votes in rural area's,the nay sayer's will be happy when we go back to swinging clubs to control feral's with. The destruction in rural areas and loss of income is a shocking, and the powers to be should be doing something about it,but they just stick their head in the sand and hope you go away.To the mods, if i have over stepped the political line remove the post ,it was what madtuna said in the first line of his post that hit a nerve, and i had to have a rant in support of his post O:)
