Had a quick swing while up in Yeppoon (nice to meet you Cleggy), few spendables but nothing amazing.

Then had another quick swing when I got home. The ring was on the beach and the sixpence was in a playground near the beach that has just had the old equipment taken away in preparation for new stuff being put in.

I must have detected that playground 10 plus times but with the bark scraped away and the site cleared it produced the silver and about 15 1c pieces.

The coin is of course worn out just where the date should be. is it possible its a 1911?

Had a crack at a block near my place that just had an old Queenslander removed (with permission of course) and got what id call my most unexpected finds in a while.

Not sure about the 2c jewellery, it looks as if it may have been silver plated or something.

Awesome results the round 50c is a great find alone. The 2 cent is a nice u I questions one to have in the collection too.... AND a Rams head. Very nice.

Probably silver plated and used as jewellery. A forum member, SA Bogan, has started creating similar pieces. Check his creations here.

As Ramjet mentioned, The silver 50c is indeed a rare find, well done. The 2c coin might have been sentimental as a birth date.
