The ring didnt have any remaining hallmarks. If its gold plated, then it was a thick coat of gold. It remains an ugly, but curious gold looking ring. Truly a testimate, to the virtues of the silver graveyard lol
Got few hours after work, tried the spot where I dont find much, but get my oldest coins. The penny is 1868, and the crunchy sixpence is english, 1924. They were 50% silver, so our Newcastle soils will eat them up. Poor thrippy....it was damaged already, but I had to hit it as well lol
The thrip was just asking for it. Makes you wonder whether it's worth melting down all the poor condition silvers, still have to deal with the copper content though. You are very consistent lately Rocket, good to see. :Y:
Bucket almost full of small relics, bbs, 50s, 20s,5s, 10s, but most pennies, and halves. I shouldave owned a tumbler by now. I have another bucket half full, with coins in olive oil, but its buried in the back of my shed...its been soaking for over a year.
