The device patent uses the term dielectrokinesis which is not a word and has no scientific basis. I use the word patent loosely here as a patent does not verify the invention actually works.

For others who come across this thread here is a report on the problem of patenting inventions that don't work. In a nutshell even though an invention is proven to be a scam you'd need to go to the expense of proving this in court. Specific to this thread is the DKL lifeguard using dielectrokinesis and the device is proven to not work. However the scam continues.
In the U.S Some Makers and Retailers of these things where Actually Charged with Mail Fraud because they were using the U.S Mail Service to distribute these things and that Is Highly illegal to sell fake Item through the Mail system etc.
