The problem with these pain killers is that the body gets used to a level of pain control and you have to get stronger ones to get the relief needed.

I have a fiend with major back issues and some of the pain killers she
takes blow me away on how much the body can adapt.
Some of them would knock a horse over (Ketamin) and yet,
Does not do much to relieve the pain.
I have real empathy for those who have to take this path as I myself hate
having to take medication on a Grand Scale.

On Wednesday I drove to the Dunnoly area for a swing with the SDC and to try a new location. The spot did not live up to expectations so I shifted to an old spot to recheck some old ground. I nealed down to dig a signal and bang, the back went. All that for another lead shot!
Tried for another hour to work through the pain but just got too uncomfortable. What really annoys me is that the weather has been so great the last few days and I cannot pick up the detector. There is no justice.
Thinking I may have to wear a brace for a while. Hopefully the back will improve over the next few days and I can get back into it.

Bill get yourself an inversion table ...................... 10 to 15 seconds a day is all you will need and you don't even need to be fully inverted . You can feel your body stretch as you take the weight of your spine. Many times it can be just a pinched nerve and just needs the pressure to be eased so nerve is no longer trapped. Also lets gravity align your spine. Beats drugs ....................... everytime
You can get them new for around a $100 ebay ..................... I picked up an electric job hardly used worth 2k for $180 wouldn't part with it for quids.

One of the hardest things for doctors to evaluate -unless they know the patient well-is whether they are are lying or just want some "drugs".
Pain is very personal thing and people can handle it very differently to others with a similar complaint.
I can stretch out on the day bed in the afternoons for 1-2 hrs. and within 5-10 mins. I am in need of some sort of relief. I am resorting to a few beers in between to help me along but cannot recommend it-for me it helps!

I'm yet to need the surgery path but with upper spine arthritis I feel for everyone with back pain as most people who don't have it just don't understand. At times at work I get people say to me just go home cause I'm hobbling around like a hunchback but the best way forward for me sometimes is to just try and push through it. It's tough but sometimes it helps. Not looking forward to the ensuing years as its a l long way to go in my working life as I'm only 44 years young

Jaros, have you tried laying on the floor, no pillow, with your legs over the seat of a chair so your knees are pointing straight up? I damaged a sciatic nerve in my back years ago, and the above method was the only way I could get relief. Might work for you too.
