Well stuff me I got some jerky from a servo today. It was not that bad but then the after taste kicked in whlooooohooo its like someone laced it with Carolina reapers. My mouth feels like there is lava in it and my lips feel.loke someone burnt them off with a blow tourch. Half an hour later and my nose is still running, my eyes are still watering. I'm also still sweating. I'm not looking forward to the next toilet episode.

:(

Shaker, are you sure you didn't mistakenly eat a shammy towel that they used to clean up Battery acid spills? :playful:

It's probaby too late now, but usually milk or yoghurt takes the sting out of Chilli (the Casein in the milk neutralizes the Capsaicin in the Chilli that gives it it's heat). That's why a lot of Indian dishes come with Yoghurt.

But somehow I think it's too late now for it to catch up with it. :poop: :fire:

Good luck with it tomorrow :(

Picture of the packet.... now we all want some.
mouths watering already :Y:

And if ya gunna do that, never ever go to the bloke's for a leak, cos odds-on you'll have got it on yer fingers (the chili, that is...) :argh: ]:D

I make my own Venision jerky and always make it hot so the kids don't eat it all on me ,not so hot it's rediculous. made some beef jerky last week from a calf we cut up ,it was good but just wasn't as good as the venison . We just finished cutting up a nice samba buck we got last night which is all going to jerky , will make it hot but not so hot that you get a Jonny cash song next day . :awful:

Crikey, if it was anymore expensive We'd be trading nuggets for the stuff! :goldnugget:

Sure we start with about 10 kilos of strips we cut from semi frozen cuts of venison
1 L Kikkoman soy sauce
600 ml wostishire sauce
2 table spoons salt
2 table spoons cracked pepper
2 table spoons brown sugar
2 table spoons fennel seeds
1 table spoon paprika or cayenne pepper
Handful of dryed chilly seeds to taste
Marinate overnight and into the dehydrator for as long as it takes
Then into vacuum sealed bags
