A friend of mine from Cooktown sent me some pic's today of a old coin he found with his 3030.
He didn't mind me posting it on PA.

Possibly a 1770 King George III token, as the same design is on the gold guinea, and that doesn't look to be gold from here.

Back to the ol honey hole for a few hours today, got another 47 Florin, 1916 Thrip, 1942 Thrip and my oldest coin to date down there which is an 1884 Shilling, wish it was in better condition but gives me hope of some more old finds there.

The ring is a junker but had me fooled for about 3/5 of a second, had a big smile when I saw the yellow colouring but that smile quickly turned upside down when I felt the weight..... Bloody aluminium...... Oh well, gotta be some gold coming my way soon.
