We always shot a fishing line up over the best branch trunk and used that to pull a rope up and over, tied her off with a slip knot pulled tight, then onto the tractor/fourby towbar, pulled up the slack to apply pressure, then cut her through, and then that way it could fall in no other direction ,... and we never ever hit the house once even. ;)

Hi AtomRat,
The tree is still standing and its huge, it drops too many leaves, also if it did come down it would cause major damage to nearby houses; I could buy two 3030's with what its going to cost to cut it down.
Silver, my yard is too small to attempt to do the job myself, better left to the specialists.
Cheers, SinHof.

Yes Heatho, two CTX3030's worth; I hope next weeks gold detecting trip is a good one, a very good one.
Cheers, SinHof.

Couple of hours today, moved 50m from the spot I've been doing hoping for some bigger silvers, it didn't dissapoint. :)

Very nice, have you added all your goldies for 2016? 2 bob are just a rarity up here for some reason.

Must be a good 500-600 $$$ in the icecream container so far for this year GW. 2 Bob getting rare around here too now, lol. Have you found any of them up there GW? Must be some lurking somewhere???

3rd of Feb 2016 since I scored a Florrie, but, whose counting hey !
Just hoping my next one's tommora ! :p
It was a 1947 too.

I haven't even got one this year, from about maybe 80 or so silvers. It's like they didn't use them up here ha ha. $500-600 on the first of May you will go past $1500 for the year at that rate.

Yeah after that many Silvers and no florries you'd start to think that. :)

Shouldn't be a bad total in goldies, might have look for some golder pastures and start getting the total up a bit more. :)

Continued on at the same spot today for a couple of hours, couldn't get into it for some reason, maybe too many jobs around the house I've neglected, anyway came home and did a few jobs and got them out of the way. Hopefully next hunt I can concentrate better.

The coin container is slowly filling up again, pretty keen to cash it in again, will be my 4th cash in, first three were roughly 750, 850 and 930 respectively.

Nice Heatho, I can't explain the no Florins but ahh well. I make about $20 an hour on average on the Goldies up here in my park circle. I do them in kind of a sweep over the year and by the time I have come back to the first one pop the ground has grown $1 and $2 coins. I have got a Deus coming for the kids, tried the GoFind but it's not that good at park hunting and the Deus is smaller and easier on their little arms.
