Btw mineallmine, that spot of yours has to be one of the best producers of quality finds. Dont give up till you pop a Sov out of there.

They are the internals of an old clock. I've found a few with the gears still attached.

Yeah, I figured it had to be one of the bigger populated cities.... more people lose more goodies.
The same opportunities here in SA are more limited.... so we need to research well.

Any chance you can clean this coin up a bit mineallmine as I think I can vaguely see the harp design in your first photo.May not be this coin but several Irish coins had the harp design on them.Could be an Irish farthing.
