Pre 1839 I think. They changed to I&B Pearse &co after then from what I can see..

What do you think this is Luke?

It looks very similar to this one which I cleaned up to reveal some beautiful old carbon steel. Not sure what they might have been used for. It measures 150mm x 15mm and 5mm thick and slightly concave on one side.

Maybe Sandta... chisel or gouge. Its certainly very hard tool steel.
Theres a pin of some sort still in the hole.
