Hi Guys and gals,

Just been having a peruse on ebay and noticed this listing.
Looking at the pictures, the coil doesn't have the counterfeit sticker on it and it also looks like there is some sort of ferrite on the lead which I have never seen on a genuine minelab product.
The description looks like something cut and pasted from alibaba.
The time the auction has been running is very short as well and it ends soon.
Looks like the seller didn't want much exposure time for us to have the auction cancelled as it is a fake.
Please report it to ebay, I have. Save someone getting stung.

I would say that the current seller was stung with this detector and is now trying to unload it for what they can get.
I feel for anyone who does get stung with these fake detectors, but it is not right to then sell it onto someone else knowing full well that they got stung!
I have managed to get a few fakes out of circulation ;)

love the bullet point detail he went to with this new listing...

AUDIO Type: Quiet, Normal, Deep & Boost.

PROCESSING UNIT: Microprocessor

None of the images show the control box so you can see the serial number. Cant see any of the 'genuine' stickers either. Plus if you look at the 3rd photo, there seems to be some sort of ferrite core on the coil cable. I havent seen that before and doesnt seem to appear on any of the genuine Minelab literature.

That's the same seller who had shill bidding pushing up the price to more than a new one a couple of weeks back:
http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=222086361681&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2565

Maybe the bloke who bought it then, pulled out afterwards when he realised he'd been scammed?

Geez, if its a fake, its good one. Only thing that looks wrong is the bulge at the bottom of the coil cable. Even the find bag looks the goods.

You would have to ask to see a receipt of purchase, there isn't one shown in the photos.
