Wow, you did well. And the digging was easy as well.

Rob P.

Still got my fingers dirty Rob.... all that covid repelling sanitizer I recon. (and believe it or not.... you can still hurt your back lol) :p

That's a beauty Mike, and they get harder and harder to find in great condition as the years roll on bye. I just snagged this off Mrs S before it got spent (she did offer it up on seeing it :D )

Sorry if it's not clear, battery power is low and I'm sitting in the car under a shopping centre with the brightness on its lowest setting... looks good to me :p

Thats a "K" for Koala..... 2021
From the second great Aussie Coin Hunt series, you can find the entire alphabet

Those 2016 10c changeover anniversary coins don't seem to pop up very often for me, but then I don't often hunt 10c rolls too often either... same with $2 coins (costs more to hang on to them) 5c is cheap enough to keep lots :perfect:

With the new 2020/2021 annual report out ,which can not be trusted , the 2020 75th anniversary of the second world war $2 coin is a very low mintage at 600,000.

Have been noodling $2 rolls to get as many as i can to hold onto and scored a 2013 coronation :D

Any ideas how to clean the heads side of the coin ?
The 2103 coronation has a mintage of 1 million and a circulated coin can fetch between $30- $50 dollars ATM. :8

Shouldn't really clean it they say, but a circulated coin has already been through the wringers. Sometimes when I feel a need to see a coin through the grime(just to check for an error usually)... I use straight Palmolive handwash(undiluted) and gently use my fingers to remove any crud or residue, then rinse very well under running water and then pat dry, only holding the edges after that I let it sit to airdry on both sides for 5-10 minutes a side and fan dry my hands before continuing with any coins.

If I were you though Topenda, I'd try it first on a coin that's in similar condition that you are not going to keep.
It won't remove any tarnish, only grime :D
But it's up to you to decide.

If you were to sell it you could just say it's a circulated coin and it'd be up to the buyer to refurbish the coin if they wish(once they own it).

Tips from Silvers' Silver Lab. You've got the knowledge mate-cheers.
Having trouble sleeping after my left eye cataract op yesterday. Just thought I'd log in to see how it's all going. Right eye next Fri 12/11.

Eye see :D

At least they've had years of practice on the cataracts now mate, my darling grandma was practiced on early on, and had trouble seeing ever after, love her.

You, on the other hand, could end up with noodling eyes and a rest for your back in the process..... Should still use a camera and screen to search though to avoid eye strain(as should I).
( oh, and get Mrs J to carry the coin for you)(I should be doing the same with Mrs S..... damn that CFS) :p

And I meant to say restore rather than refurbish in post #232.
We must never clean a coin.... only restore it to a better condition. :p

We are at an interesting time in coin collecting the 2022 coins have been minted and are now available to collectors alike. But due to the age of the Monarchy there might be a time when the coins have been minted for the year and Monarchy no longer alive. It will be to late too recall the coins issued. This event only occurs every November when the next years coins are mint and released before the New Year. This hasn't happen before in history.

Been waiting and waiting and waiting for this to happen but the old girl is sticking around. :playful:
Bring on the 100th Birthday Coin. :cake:
