Too right, beach goers leave a mess, ahh don't worry, the council will clean it up. Detectorists leave a mess - instant ban! What a disgrace.

Yeh that's true... When I search beaches ive found Nails, Screws, Smashed glass (with screw top still on hence the i.d reading) Razor blade all berried in the sand , all highly dangerous but because of us finding them and removing them and not some small child's foot stepping on them, we are a benefit so we should be thanked for helping out

You don't have to go that far to swim in a flooded tip, the YARRA river in Victoria will take it hands down. :/
