Hello all Just wanted to say sorry for any agro comments that I may have made lately that may have offended anyone. I've been a bit stressed due to friends and family with mental illness. I had my gold bug control box go through the washing machine while the spuds were being pealed in the laundry tub with the washing waste water. And that's just one of a few of the nutters I have to deal with. I couldn't handle it so went prospecting. Where I go we have an old small country town style communications system where we just meet at the pub every arvo to make sure everyone is o.k. I took a six pack out and didn't put the shovel in the ground. Met up with friends at the pub after and explained my situation to a mate. He said "I just live alone". So I had to take that attitude on board and say goodbye to a loved one. It's hard but mental illness can spread and you have to draw a line sometimes and just go prospecting rather that catching an illness.

Welcome back mate. I missed your great stories about your gold pursuits, and look forward to their resumption.

I kinda know what domestic stresses can do to you. And I find getting out there and prospecting is a great stress reliever, and in my case no matter how little gold I might find.

Good hunting.

On the funny side of it, after seeing the washing water pour out of the control box I put it out in the sun to dry. Bugger me! it still works and is nice and clean. I'll have to email me mate at fisher and tell him. :) You have to laugh sometimes.

Welcome back Parks :D
Not many call it an illness like you have but its true and is possible. Just like catching fear. Seperate yourself or learn how to push it aside. I know what you mean. Mental issues do need help here and there still though, we do what we can

Gday Parks,
Welcome back mate, it's good to see that you've come back out of the wilderness.
Hope that life settles down for you so that you can have some peace.
Look forward to more of your adventures soon.
Cheers Steve

welcome back mate, as someone that suffered very bad from depression, and i do mean badly i know how stressful it can be not only to yourself but the ones around you , if you need to chat to someone just do it mate, dont hold it to yourself mate it is self destructive, there is always someone to chat to somewhere

Cheers and take it easy

Cheers to all.

I think you just have to laugh it off at times. Laughter is the best medicine. It is a very serious subject.
I was just watching Better homes and Gardens episode on getting a dog. They explained the steps. The dog had to be kept out the back with side gates and not allowed out the front because it will get stolen.

If you tried stealing my last dog he would have ripped your bloody arms off!

Classic! :)

Depression is a hard one mate. I lost my family to it. Not me but my ex. Lost the lot, family, four children and home. I found diet helped but you have to eat what you need. I found mushrooms were good with the vitamins and the ex would be smelling them from miles away. But she never would buy them and eat them herself.
With major depression she resorted to shopping and when I rang the local hospital a 457 visa worker answered and said that women can go shopping. She was spending up to $1000 a day just to compensate for the depression. :(
