Do any of our members have knowledge about getting access to the old gold reefs in the hills around Cassilis Road between Omeo and Swifts Creek ? (Victoria)

The map shows alot of history there but can Joe Blow get access up there for detecting or is it closed off / reserve / National Park / verbotten / Greenie Belt / flogged out ?

It would be too cold to go there now so dont anyone go rushing out the door in your pyjamas with metal detector in hand... :cloudy:

It's mostly State Forests around there with the Cassilis Historic Area.
