Campfire Stories, The unknown and unusual

Since a lot of us spend time out in the bush and camp under the stars i thought this might make a great thread?

Share the strange and unusual stories you or someone you met has told you around the campfire over the years
Wild animal experiences, lost treasures or gold prospecting sites, UFO'S, Min Min Lights, Yowies, paranormal you name it whatever

Try keep the stories genuine though (don't fabricate just randomness).. Makes them all the more interesting,
especially when others might relate on similar segments in the story erfect:

I think we all have at least one odd story lol, i'll share a couple from my teen years if people dig this topic?

Tonight i was watching a bloke freak out in the bush while fossicking for gold, who thought he might have seen a yowie after some other odd events... thought yeah cool he just freaked himself out and the movement he saw looked like a sunbeam coming off cloud cover making the object appear to turn (the image was not high enough quality to see what he sore but) The fear as he bailed was very genuine it was a genuine experience lol... since though i watched a few more on said yowie and there was a lot of similar parts in their stories too lol.. Hence the idea for Campfire stories

I watched that. It had the hairs on my neck stand up. I don't know about the electronics in the car stuffing up bit but the rest of it was very convincing. Either busted knuckles was being for real or he is a very talented actor.

Clip the hook on your mates jeans near his ankle.
When he gets up and starts walking for a slash,
He notice the tention, and try kick forwards to release the unknown...
The hose will be sprung up and wrap around his legs...
The more he runs,.... the more it attacks him... :lol:
