This fluid bed thingy is really great! Just built two diy quicksand gold concentrators with household stuff and tested them. They work amazingly good! I've checked also the tailings and missed only two very very tiny micron gold particles. Btw. Im using a 12 Volt 750GPH bilge pump.

Sorry guys don't have a video yet because I need to make a youtube account first. It's basically a replicate of this commercial device just with stuff I had in the garage. You put your material into the opening and heavy material goes to the ground. The lighter material is washed away into the bucket. I've put it into a small mortar tub to make it a recirculating system that I can carry around.

Here is the commercial system that I saw on the internet but it's really the same principle mine just uses a dustpan :)
What is really important is the valve! The commercial one has no valve. If the pressure is too high your heavies will be washed away therefore you need to be able to control the flow so I've integrated a valve into my units.

Why do you need a collar?

it catches some missed gold particles (you can add a vmat into the dustpan) and directs the water overflow into the bucket.

Absolutely friggin fabulous........Thank you!!!! (errr! that's a compliment here ;) ;) ;) )

Great build. Thanks for sharing. What is the dust pan connected to? I mean the bolt in the handle.

With the bolt in the handle and the black plastic nut I can adjust the level/inclination when I put it into the tub. The tub has a small hole on the edge. Hope that makes sense.

I'm new to this site, thanks to daniel2015 for posting the drawings of the quicksand concentrator. I've nearly finished building one using PVC fittings as close to the sizes as I can get. Here's some photo's of it so far.

That is bloody good thinking there Bloke.
But I was wondering how the Spa Tub comes into it.
All jokes aside, I was wondering about a fluid separator.
I will be watching this with keen interest.
Thank You.

Thanks Tathradj and Jembaicumbene thanks for your comments, I done a little bit more on the project. Here's a photo of the base with a 3/4" barb added. Tathradj you can see here the spa tube goes into it.
