Boots for Prospecting, Hiking, Detecting information and questions

I use Redback boots both steel capped for general work and not capped for detecting. 100% Australia owned and made. Some don't like the elastic sides, but they suit me fine.

I'm trying to decide on a new pair of boots to use while detecting. currently I'm using some Sands shoes runners, whatever you want to call them, that obviously hasn't got any metal in them. I found the sand shoes too slippery and not real hard wearing.I like ankle boots or close to it. I don't want to spend a shitload of money on boots if I don't have to. they have to be lightish and comfortable. no point paying any money for boots that aren't comfortable.
So I just thought I'd ask the question here I'm currently looking at a set of Hi Tec Men's Wild Fire I WP Mid Hiking Shoes

hi I took my minelab hand scanner into the the shop and came out with boots that look like Blunnies but were Rossi with red pullups these have no metal and wear well

My fav boot at the moment are Rossi with the leather tab..easier to pull on than Blunnies..I put some schol inner souls in them for that little bit of more comfort..

only ever wore Rossi boots while detecting . they last a long time are comfortable and dont cost a fortune.

Kmart mate, dont have mine with me to take a pick but they are all I use. Brown canvas, with minimal option for grass seeds to get in. with black sole, no metal. Great grip, durable and only $25. Only issue would be the sole is thin so youll feel a rough pattern under your feet after a while but it suits me.
