Ive got the Keens as well. Like Dave said they are rugged all right. Imo they have the best sole of any boot I have tried, hard wearing and flexible and contain absolutely no metal parts.davent said:https://www.prospectingaustralia.com/forum/img/member-images/6002/1635340227_20211027_223920.jpgI bought a pair of keen s waterproof ankle boots, they are breathable and have no metal at all, they were expensive, $189 but seem rugged.

Stylish & comfortable, with padded ankle support, platform & high heel to elevate oneself above the reach of snakes and burs. Sharp-pointed faux metal studs (actually ceramic), to assist one in defending their claim, should a bitch fight ensue.

Hey BD, I suggest you keep those boots from Aldi... they are good value if there’re comfy for you. As grubstake said, no problem with the GM.I'm actually looking at going back and picking the boots up again and replacing the eyelets. The tool and eyelets are not expensive. Getting the old ones out might be a bit tricky.
They were pretty comfortable.
