I have some of the best friends. The truffle fairy came to visit today, and left me 150g of prime Southern Tablelands truffle. I'll make some truffle vodka, which is a good way to preserve the flavour for putting into dishes outside the season (and in between visits from the truffle fairy), also some truffle butter for steaks and so on. Tonight I'll probably make some chicken breast scallopini with a simple sauce of wine, stock, butter and sage, with truffles, of course.
