I lost interest in the V8s years ago but after seeing that amazing lap on the news tonight I think I may tune in for the last 20 laps or so. Any one want to have a go at the results for tomorrow arvo. I am going for a full Ford podium :perfect:

you are quite possibly right SGT. FORD 1 2 3
and Scotty McLoffy was making the Volvo look good last cupla years, & after his blistering practise runs Thu/Fri & todays top 10 shootout in the Mustang, hes going to be the one to beat (hes also topping the driver leadership points),
If it rains, then cool Drifter Van Gissyguts might just take the cherry

Same here shakergt. Lost interest when it stopped being Holden v Ford.

McLaughlin might have smashed the lap record to take pole, but I'll play and go for Whincup & Lowndesy for the win. :Y:

Cheers,
Megsy

Megsy, up till recently you would be right on the money, but I think Whincup is off the boil, while Lowndes is in his twilight teacup.
McLaughlin is the young-gun who really has the hammer down.
BUT, we all know that Bathurst breaks cars & throws drivers a curve ball, so its a lot of luck in this race too

well my money is on scotty to win...but as we all know, Bathurst can destroy you in a heart-beat and this year seems all over the place in terms of the weather and we all know what happens on a wet or semi-wet track!...I would not discount any of the top 8 or so... but that's the beauty of Bathurst,,,it can be a walk-over or come down to the last couple of laps :Y: Bring it all on I :playful: say!

You should never discount experience when it comes to Bathurst. And yes, it's the track that breaks cars and breaks hearts - it's why it's such a crowd favourite!

I was lucky enough to be driven around it by a Supercar driver on a hot lap when I worked for the Wynn's Racing Team. It's bloody terrifying! How they do that for hours without losing concentration and putting it in the wall, is amazing to me. Total respect for these guys. :Y:

Cheers,
Megsy
