Autumn the changing of the seasons

Every thing is down at the moment,but autumn brings great joy,with the changing of the season,but it does not last long,sadly.

thanks for posting those pics TDigger. I find it uplifting.
I love the autumn colours that most countries in the northern hemisphere have.
I like to drive around to find trees like that in autumn, but there aren't many round my area

This is a Flemings lipstick October glory,taken at a friends place in Harrietville below Mt Hotham.

Now is the time to see the colored trees at Bright

Had 22mm over night,and some of the other trees are changing colour quickly.

The sugar maples now turning to a stunning orange

Maple Bowhall will keep turning to different colours.

Great thread :trophy: you've got a beautiful setting there td erfect: We've got a 400 metre driveway we've been wanting to plant trees along when I show Kate this I reckon they'll be a contender. Can you name the trees please (if there's any you haven't already) would like to know the soil type they don't like as a starting point for research to see if they suit our shallow ground. Being undulating we do have good soil in the lower ground, predominantly light soil on silt stone in the high ground.
