Mando, Allsop was an interesting guy, but not the right one. Remember, our bloke was interested in rain making and optics as well as radio.

Although born in Australia, he went to England to get his quals, and worked for Marconi for a while.

Oh, and Mando, daughter number 2 says your avatar is pretty appropriate for this forum!

Thanks doc I like the avatar as well
Now im going have a go at Ernest Fisk although im struggling to connect him to some of your hints

Mando

Ernest Fisk is very close, as our guy worked with him for a while, after a rocky start ...

Bit of trivia, I hold Ernest Fisk's old amateur radio callsign .... VK2EF.

And number 2 daughter is doing Chinese for the HSC, and was looking over my shoulder and picked the avatar right away.

Wow Chinese that would have to be one of the hardest languages to learn
Was it a fluke you got the callsign or did you ask for it

Rastys, Bob Katter's father was politically active, but I'm pretty sure that he was not an MP.

The bloke I'm thinking of is not a current politician, and was not from Queensland. And remember that both mother and father were members of parliament.

You got it, Mando, over to you...

Anderson was born in Bondi Junction, the son of Keith Anderson, a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly representing Paddington-Waverley between 1961 and 1962, and Kath Anderson, who was a member of the Legislative Council between 1973 and 1981.

Ando is an interesting bloke, and I have had a bit of contact with him professionally over the last 10 years or so. However, I did not know about his parents until a colleague told me last week, and I thought it would be a good question.
