ABB tested and said it was an NBN problem. Just came good at 0945. They must have done a remote reset at NBN.

We had some intermittent trouble with our NBN connection (with Telstra) over the last couple of weeks being very slow & showing a line fault NBN to modem. Wifi was tested as good.
They disconnected a 2nd house outlet we don't use anymore (due to now using all wifi devices) as they said that can slow it down a bit? He also said the neighbourhood node had some moisture in it so they were going to rectify that too? Been a lot of rain here.
Anyway it all seems to be working ok again since the technicians visit so something he did worked.

Those wretched boxes do not like heavy rain. This was one in my street a couple of months back, after a winter deluge:

It's not what you'd call a hi-tech fix! Multiply that by the number of techos needed to run around with jerry cans, topping up gensets 3-4 times a day wherever there's heavy rain... The fibre to the home NBN upgrades can't come too soon, IMHO.

Its not those 'boxes' that are affected by rain, its the underground copper network that the node feed's that is problematic.
The node needs power, if you have a power outage in the area, then NBN put in generators to power the node.

It's an NBN node mate and whilst any electronics can be affected by water, these are pretty good!
