Pin pointer has had some good use by the way mate, some targets I've really needed it and it helps a heap! Ive learnt fast to turn the detector off when its close by.. Havnt touched the water with it yet. Can it go in salt water as I'm heading to the beach on saturday with the fam and coming home monday. Oh that reminds me.. I better get a beach digger happening

Hey good stuff mate, glad it was silver. What's the gemstone? Is it an opal? Sometimes the hallmarks can be pretty hard to see, you really need to have a good look when you find any rings.

Not really sure mate, I know sometimes they'll put say a CZ on a ring for Cubic Zirconia but not sure with other stones. Good question though I hope someone will answer.

Can you do a close up of the stone? Would be great to see it in better detail.

I failed at beach detecting but learn a lot and certainly ready for the next time. Thanks to silver I know where to swing and dig..I had bad luck of tides as well which didn't. Not really worth showing the beach finds so ill post what I panned today in a creek.

Did I possibly find an unfired 1887 .44 W.R.A Co, W.C.F ( winchest centre fire ) bullet? All these details are written on it

Be great if it's an original unfired one from days of old (museum quality piece ).

It is unfired but the projectile is wedged down into it. Firing pin nice n smooth ( no W for smokeless either )

Ill try to get a better snap. This has been stuck for many many years and grabbed out a place where sinkers n lead shot were everywhere.

i think all 44-40's are black powder? even today, for use in western action shooting.

Testing out cheap sports cam and a gear find from an old machine or the previous bridge mechanism. The vid saves as .mov, then I had to convert to .mp4 just to upload to youtube, sobi did loose quality. Sorry about that and will update the vid when I get around to using a pc

No detecting finds this week, hopefully a few to show in a couple of days after a swing with numpty
