Don't think your steak will be at Australian prices though.

Cheers

Funny you should say that because they said that they can buy Aussie Beef and ship it here cheaper than what they can buy UK Beef,

That UK Steak I bought the other day was boring and pretty flavourless, Looked great in the packet and at a price that works out to be around $29.00+ per Kg I would of been better off eating a Char Grilled Combat Boot, :( ]:D ]:D ]:D

I suppose it depends on the trade deal done.??We could be the ones being ripped off to make the motherland happy.

Well it was a Deal that the Aussie Beef Producers really wanted and with low or zero tarrifs the Deal was counted in Billions of Dollars not just a few million So that has to be a Win for Australia, :Y: :Y: :Y:

I can see the Queen sitting at the 60 seat dinner table with a pair of rubber gloves on and holding a big Aussie beef rib in both hands.
"Bloody delishhhioush -a piece of meat sticking out between her 2 front teeth- Alfred."

$29.00 a kilo, i'll have some of that mate. I live in the Beef Capital State of Australia and getting a "Really" good steak is difficult without paying $35.00/38 per Kg having said that, Rockhampton, Beef City, has the worst steak of all, in my opinion.
Glad to see our beef market making inroads into other nations and not relying on China, Great News Boris!!!!

Only the best beef/steak is exported . The left overs are sold to the locals . At one time I was buying whole rump steaks from N.Z. in Sydney . It was great , better than the Aussie steak and cheaper .

Mackka I just did the maths on that steak I bought, That Steak I bought was only 10mm thick and weighed 150g and it cost me $8.32 AUD which means per kg it would of cost me $55.46c, Thats just not Right or fair for that matter,

They also said that they will be buying Australian Lamb, In the past the EU set the market prices but that boosted profits for the shops while the farmers dipped out,

And as far as quality goes, I'd rather eat budget pack Beef Burgers which is why I bought 48 of them. Lamb is the only meat that has a distinct flavour over here, But it comes to something when cheap burgers taste better than steak. 8.( 8.( 8.(

My wife destroyed 2 beautiful looking beef ribs the other day. She marinated them overnight in something?? I could tell there was something wrong when she started cooking them. Yuck!!!
I like the taste of meat by itself just a bit of salt, no pepper and some potato bake with loads of garlic in it and butter with peas to soak it up the butter. Simple pleasures. :(

Yeah there is a knack in cooking a good steak, I did mine in a fry pan, When the water came out of it it was impossible to Brown it and went more of a Camo Grey colour, 8.( 8.( I think I will cook the other one on the BBQ Plate without cooking oil so the water evaporates,

I normally seer both sides to the colour I want then stick it in the oven at 160 for10-15 mins to finish the process.

Thanks for that I might give it a go with the next one, The only way I could get it to taste like beef should was to cook it with Soy Sauce or what ever I had on hand,

Minimum. Lately i have been buying Tomahawks, beautiful meat, reasonable price and one feeds two people. This and Winter are the best times of the year for me, cool, no mozzies or flys and cooking on the barbee 2-3 times a week, love it.
